This Creamy Blush Stick Is Ultra-Hydrating and Incredibly Easy to Blend

As someone who has rosacea, it can feel counter-intuitive to use a product that promises to deliver a flush of color, since controlling my facial redness is a major part of my skin-care focus. It wasn't until I found a CC+ cream foundation that evens out my skin that I felt comfortable introducing blush. At the advice of a friend, who also happens to be an aesthetician, I decided to try the Westman Atelier Baby Cheeks Blush Stick ($26-$48), and I'm officially hooked. Keep reading for more details about the blush stick and why it's become my new favorite multitasking makeup product.

About the Westman Atelier Baby Cheeks Blush Stick

  • It's a multipurpose blush stick that offers a natural-looking, buildable flush of color.
  • The creamy, hydrating formula can be used on the cheeks and lips.
  • It can be easily layered over liquid and powder formulas.
  • Its formula includes organic jojoba seed oil, raspberry leaf stem cell extract, biomimicry pigment technology, kaolin clay, and vitamins C and A.

What I Like About the the Westman Atelier Baby Cheeks Blush Stick

Unlike other shimmery formulas, this one doesn't highlight any undesired texture on my skin. It glides over my liquid foundation and is so easy to blend, I never have to worry about messing up. If I've applied more than I intended to, I can just keep blending with my fingers until the color softens and I can re-apply to specific spots if I want to build a bolder flush of color. I chose the shade Petal, which is a dusty rose color; it mimics my skin's natural blush, only I get to control exactly where and how much.

Aside from being hydrating, the creamy formula also doesn't have any pore-clogging ingredients, so I don't have to worry about breakouts or skin irritation. In fact, the formula is so gentle I even tap a bit of the color onto the creases of my eyelids for a subtle eyeshadow effect. Being able to use it on my cheeks, eyelids, and lips makes it versatile and the most-used product in my makeup bag right now. It gives my face the perfect amount of color to make my features pop without looking like I'm wearing a lot of makeup.

How to Use the Westman Atelier Baby Cheeks Blush Stick

For cheeks, you can apply it directly onto the apples of your cheeks using a blender brush or your fingers. You can also apply it directly to lips. While it technically isn't intended for eyes, I haven't found it irritating at all. To apply it to that area, I like to tap the blush stick with my finger tip and gently pat the product onto the crease of my eyelids until it's well blended. I find that a little goes a long way.

What to Consider Before Trying the Westman Atelier Baby Cheeks Blush Stick

You can choose between eight different shades and can also mix and match if you'd prefer a bolder color on your lips and a softer shade on your cheeks. Westman Atelier also makes a Face Trace Contour Stick if you're more interested in contouring or adding a creamy bronzer (I own this as well and have been using it all summer). You can also try the brand's Lit Up Highlight Stick if you want a dewy, glowing effect. You can choose between two sizes: a smaller .09 oz. size or a larger .21 oz. size.

Where Is the Westman Atelier Baby Cheeks Blush Stick Available?

You can get the Westman Atelier Baby Cheeks Blush Stick at Nordstrom, Westman Atelier, Sephora, and Credo Beauty.
