Another day, another delectable-sounding beauty trend. On Aug. 30, actor Jenna Dewan posted a selfie on her Instagram Stories showing off her new hair color, which is a variation of her signature brunette hue.
"Glazed chocolate donut fall vibes," the caption read in part. Dewant went on thank her colorist Matt Rez, who has worked with everyone from Adele to Hailey Bieber. In addition to what seems to be a light dusting, Rez worked in some caramel-toned highlights throughout Dewan's hair, making her natural deep-brown color pop even more.
For the last year, "glazed doughnut," well, everything has been trending across social media, thanks to countless celebrities opting for a glossier finish in all aspects of their beauty routines. From their nails to their skin, the glossy finish is meant to make the wearer look dewy, hydrated, and all-around healthy. Like its predecessors, the hair version of the glazed trend is defined by its highly reflective shine (meant to embody that of doughnut's), typically achieved by an in-salon gloss treatment or fresh color.
