Lush is about to upgrade your shower routine once more, and this time, it's thanks to a familiar name. Fresh off the heels of its previous partnership with the show "Stranger Things," the bath and body brand is collaborating with Wes Anderson and his new film "Asteroid City." The brand-new line of products brings key film elements to life in soap form.
"We love the Wes Anderson style, and this particular movie had so many fun references that were easy to turn into fun cosmetics," Melody Morton, Lush's concepts creative director, tells POPSUGAR. "The whole theme is tied into the products - we have an Asteroid bath bomb, which is the exact model from the movie, [and] we also have the spaceship model that is a fun jelly. We really spent time making sure the colors were true to the movie."
If you also are freaking out over this collaboration, we have more news. To celebrate the launch, Lush is creating an immersive pop-up inspired by the partnership, which customers can visit in person. "We have created retail spaces in London and Las Vegas inspired by the movie," Morton says. The activations begin at London's Lush Studio Soho on June 5 and at Lush Miracle Mile in Las Vegas on June 15. What's more, the line brings back a fan-favorite scent in two new formulas. "We loved that we could bring back our Space Girl fragrance in the bath bomb and shower gel, as it fits so well with the storytelling of the movie," Morton says.
The Lush x Wes Anderson "Asteroid City" collection launches online and on the Lush app on June 16. The full line will include the previously mentioned re-release of the Space Girl fragrance, as well as a bath bomb, a soap, a shower gel, and a shower jelly that pay homage to different parts of the movie. Just remember these products are limited edition and will likely sell out fast. Curious about the new goods? We've got an exclusive sneak peek of the collection ahead.
