Fitness instructor Cody Rigsby is affectionately called Peloton's "King of Pop Culture" for a reason. His fans love him for his sense of humor and hot takes in addition to his ass-kicking workouts in cycling, bike boot camp, dance cardio, and even meditation. Most recently, he's combined his love of pop culture and exercise in a star-studded new series called "LOL Cody" that takes place - where else? - on the bike. Each of the four episodes features a special guest who rides alongside Rigsby and members at Peloton Studios New York.
His next guest? None other than pop icon Carly Rae Jepsen.
"I'm just so excited to have Carly Rae Jepsen as one of my special guests. We all know and love her music, but what I'm really excited about is for everyone to see Carly in a totally different setting - clipped in next to me on the Peloton Bike."
The "Call Me Maybe" singer is apparently a big fan of Rigsby's energy. "One thing I love about Cody Rigsby is that he makes people happy and radiates joy - and we both share a passion for pop music," Jepsen tells POPSUGAR. "I'm so excited to join him and the Peloton community for some laughs and a great workout."
You'll be able to enjoy the same when the episode premieres on the Peloton platform on Nov. 10 at 7:30 p.m. ET. It will become available for on-demand streaming when the 30-minute class ends at 8 p.m. ET.
"I couldn't imagine 'LOL Cody' without an episode featuring one of my favorite pop artists," Rigsby tells POPSUGAR. "I'm just so excited to have Carly Rae Jepsen as one of my special guests. We all know and love her music, but what I'm really excited about is for everyone to see Carly in a totally different setting - clipped in next to me on the Peloton Bike. And yes, several of her bops are absolutely on my playlist for this episode." Jepsen just released a new album, "The Loneliest Time," on Oct. 21.
You can think of the series as "a workout with a late-night vibe that's sure to make you laugh, sweat, and leave you with something to talk about after the class ends," Peloton's Chief Content Officer Jen Cotter said in a release from the brand. The first episode in the series, featuring celebrated drag queen Trixie Mattel, premiered on the Peloton platform on Nov. 3. The final two episodes will be released on Nov. 17 and Dec. 1.
While "LOL Cody" promises to be entertaining, Cotter ensures that every episode will be a fantastic workout, too. The classes will each be available through the Peloton Bike, Peloton Bike+, and Peloton app, which offers a 30-day free trial for new members. Members who participate in an "LOL Cody" class will also receive a custom badge on their profile.
The three major pillars in Rigsby's life are "movement, pop culture, and laughter," which is what "LOL Cody" tries to encompass, the instructor said in a press release. "The Peloton community better fix their wigs because I'm serving iconic celebrity guests and takes so hot you'll need a fire extinguisher."
